What Expenite does
Expenite is the wunder-mineral mined during Rogue Core runs. The team feeds Expenite into Ellis, the flying MULE, to unlock upgrades at convening points.
Because Rogue Core is run-based, Expenite decisions are part of the team's current run plan rather than a fixed pre-mission loadout.
Upgrade paths confirmed so far
- Expenite upgrades through Ellis at convening points.
- Bio booster stations as a non-Expenite enhancement path.
- Workbench stations as another non-Expenite enhancement path.
- Artifact upgrades through higher-risk route rewards.
Risk vectors
Each stage can present route choices with different risk/reward profiles. High-risk paths can yield extra weapon crates, equipment crates, or artifact upgrades.
That means the safest path may not create the strongest run. Teams looking for scaling should weigh health, ammo, class utility, and current weapon quality before choosing a harder route.
Known upgrade example
Reloading Trick was observed in alpha: 100% crit chance on the first shot after a reload.
Practical planning notes
- Teams with weak weapons may prioritize crate rewards over raw Expenite.
- Strong defensive or control kits can justify higher-risk paths.
- Permanent meta-progression exists, but specific currency and unlock tracks are TBA.
